Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with?
I offer individual therapy to adults (18+) who are physically located in Vermont or Massachusetts. I don’t offer couples or family therapy at this time.
Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?
Both! I offer in-person therapy at my office in South Burlington and virtual therapy to anyone in Vermont or Massachusetts.
When can we meet?
I see clients Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm and Friday 10am-1pm. My availability varies so if you are hoping for a specific time, please include that in your message to me!
How long is a therapy session?
The standard therapy session is 50 minutes. There is an option for shorter or longer sessions if scheduled in advance and for a proportionate cost.
What is the cost of a therapy session?
I charge $130 for a 50 minute session and I offer both insurance and self-pay options.
Insurance: The insurance companies I am in-network with are Blue Cross Blue Shield, MVP, and Green Mountain Care/Vermont Medicaid. Here’s where it gets complicated - your insurance company decides how much they pay and how much you are responsible for. If you have Medicaid, they cover the full cost, so it is free to you. If you have BCBS or MVP, your plan determines what you pay. I recommend looking at your benefits or calling before them before scheduling so that you know how much it will cost.
Self-Pay: You are responsible for the full cost of the session at the time of service. I have a limited number of reduced-fee spots that may be available upon request.
I also like to let people know that I charge $180 for the initial session. Whether you use insurance or self-pay, that first session costs more because we go over so much and there is more paperwork than a normal session.
